Kitchen
At Grand-Y-Care Academy we strive to provide our children with good quality ‘homemade’ food using local suppliers, in accordance with the Scottish Government document 'Setting the Table'.
All food is freshly prepared each day by our very own cook in our on-site kitchen. Our cooks will hold, at a minimum, Elementary Food Handling Certificates and will be endorsed by the Environmental Health Department
We have put together our menus to ensure our children receive a balanced diet, incorporating fresh fruit and vegetables, carbohydrates, protein and calcium each day.
We provide all meals and snacks for our children (breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner), with no outside food allowed. We cater for all dietary requirements, intolerances and allergies.
