If you are interested in your child attending Grand-Y-Care please contact us as soon as possible to check availability, fees and to arrange a viewing of the nursery.

 

After your viewing you can secure your child’s place with a payment of £15.00 (non-refundable). 

 

Once your place is secured and availability is confirmed you will be required to complete the necessary paperwork (such as attendance planner and care plan). 

 

Things to remember:

  • Academic year runs from the 1st of August to 31st of July. 

  • Minimum attendance of 1 full day or 2 half days each week. 

  • 49 weeks attendance with 4 weeks holiday allowance (full contract only)   

  • 38 weeks attendance, no holiday allowance (funded only contract for 3-5 year olds)

Funding

We are in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council who provides funding for pre-school education places for all eligible 3-5 year olds.

​

South Lanarkshire Council funds a maximum of 1140 hours per year, per child. 

​

At Grand-Y-Care we deliver the funding in the following way:

  • 38 weeks of the year/190 days

  • 30 hours per week maximum 

  • 24 hours per week minimum 

  • 10 hours per day maximum 

  • Attendance is the same as local primary schools

  • We do not accept blended places

​

Eligibility

All children who turn 3 before the 31st of August will receive 1140 hours when funding commences. 

​

Children who turn 3 between the 1st of September and the 28th of February will receive their funding entitlement (pro-rata) from the Monday after their 3rd birthday. 

​

Children who turn 3 from the 1st of March onwards will receive their funding from next August.

​

Funding applications are to be submitted by 28 February. Please speak with us prior to completing the application.
